What’s our take on branding?

Branding is all about a company’s personality. From your name,  logo and slogan through to the development of your stationery and online presence. It’s all part of your branding package. How the world forms a view before they know who you are. It’s a very powerful tool. Our  job as graphic designers and branding experts is to help you discover (and sometimes reinvent) your visual identity.

We believe that your personality already exists! You as the owner are the energy and life force behind your company but the world needs to be convinced and that’s where we come in. Here are some commonly asked questions relating to branding. We hope you find them useful.

How much does branding cost?

Company Branding should be seen as an investment rather than a cost. A good brand stands the test of time and will reward the owner for years to come. The figure does vary from client to client but the majority of branding projects start with the development of an identity in the form of a logo or project brand for between $6,000 and $12,000.

From there we consider a myriad of variables such as the size of the company (working with an individual is very different to working with a multinational where a board of directors are involved) and the nature of the collateral required. The goal is a set of comprehensive identity guidelines suited to the needs of the company.

What do we get?

The components of any branding exercise vary from client to client and understanding these needs is a core component to providing an accurate costing. The most common components are:

Company Logo – your logo also known as a trademark is a core component to any branding project. This is our starting point and while it will be viewed by many as the tip of the iceberg it is in fact the bedrock of your brand.

Stationery – including but not limited to printed collateral as well as email signature. Our strong background in production ensures an elegant and thought provoking solution in this department

Website or Blog – no brand can legitimately exist without an online presence and between our design and development team we create outstanding world class results using both the ground-up web development process or the humble blog platform.

Style Guide – a style guide or identity guideline is a document and set of files which when followed maintain consistency and the integrity of your brand. They include sizes, fonts, ratios and the working files of the trademark.

Social Media – Seen as an essential extension on your web presence, we can assist with the professional development of your social media presence including Facebook, Twitter and whatever else they may throw at us. We love Social Media!

In addition to the above, other areas we may cover include signage, print collateral that falls under the marketing banner such as fliers and brochures and point of sale materials.
